The unveiling was led by SPH Automobile Division Director and General Manager Norihide Takei, who said the e VITARA is intended to deliver “advanced mobility solutions that inspire confidence, excitement, and practicality for today’s generation of drivers.”

Suzuki calls the exterior design language “Metal Beast,” characterized by strong character lines, a coupe-like silhouette, and an aerodynamic roof. The front carries 3-point matrix LED lamps, with a sculpted rear to match.

For those wondering why it looks familiar, that is because it is the exact same car as the recently launched Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV.

Inside, the cabin features a dual display setup, a twin-deck floating center console with a rotary shift knob, and a two-spoke polygonal steering wheel. Materials include soft-touch surfaces and multicolor ambient lighting. The driver’s seat offers 10-way power adjustment and ventilation, while rear seats use a 40:20:40 split-folding configuration with sliding and reclining capability.

The e VITARA runs on Suzuki’s new “HEARTECT-e” electric platform, engineered for structural rigidity, passenger space, and battery protection. The powertrain puts out 174 hp and 93 Nm of torque, drawing from a 61 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery. Thermal management includes liquid cooling and battery voltage monitoring.

In real-world economy trials conducted with the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP), it recorded 87.22 km/Lge (kilometers per liter gasoline equivalent), or 9.8 km/kWh.

The infotainment system uses a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Audio is handled by an Infinity Sound System with six speakers, a subwoofer, and a digital signal processor.

Safety equipment includes seven airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, Electronic Parking Brake with brake hold, and Dual Sensing Brake Sensor II, all standard across the lineup.

Suzuki Philippines announced the e VITARA will be available nationwide starting at PHP 2,020,000. Final color options and full specifications are set to be announced at a later date.
