There has been a lot of hype and teasers surrounding the Philippine launch of the all-new Toyota RAV4, and finally, we were able to get a closer look at the base ADV variant and its full specifications during the Toyota GAZOO RACING Philippine Cup held at Riverpark, Cavite, last weekend.
The all-new RAV4 will be offered locally in two variants: Adventure (ADV) and Limited (LTD). Like the outgoing generation, both will come exclusively with a hybrid powertrain.
Powering the SUV is the same proven 2.5-liter A25A-FXS gasoline engine, paired with front- and rear-mounted electric motors and a lithium-ion battery. The system produces a combined output of 239 hp and 221 Nm of torque.
Power is delivered to all four wheels through Toyota’s E-Four all-wheel-drive system, paired with an e-CVT transmission.
Both variants come with a similar set of standard equipment. These include LED projector headlights, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
The SUV also comes with a nine-speaker JBL premium sound system and the latest Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 driver-assistance suite.
The ADV variant features more rugged styling elements. Exterior highlights include blacked-out accents, black plastic overfenders, six-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels, and bridge-style roof rails.
Inside, the RAV4 ADV is equipped with synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a power sunroof.
Available exterior colors for the ADV are Urban Rock, Ever Rest, Massive Gray, Attitude Black Mica, and Super White II. Interior options include Mineral or Black with orange accents.
The LTD variant offers a more refined appearance. It features a hexagon-patterned front grille and reduced black plastic cladding.
Additional equipment includes auto-leveling headlights, sleeker roof rails, and larger 20-inch alloy wheels. The RAV4 LTD also adds a panoramic glass roof, genuine leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heads-up display, and Intelligent Park Assist.
Exterior colors for the Limited include Urban Rock, Ever Rest, Massive Gray, and Attitude Black Mica, with additional options such as Platinum White Pearl Metallic, Avant-garde Bronze Metallic, Dark Blue, and Red Mica. Interior colors are available in black or beige.
Expected Pricing
Toyota Motor Philippines has not yet announced official pricing. However, a post from a dealership listed indicative prices of Php 2,183,000 for the Adventure and Php 2,499,000 for the Limited variant. The all-new RAV4 will also be launched alongside the Urban Cruiser this March 17.
