When BTS returns with a new album, fans around the world celebrate. But this time, some fans decided to do it on a massive scale in the middle of Seoul.
Ahead of the group’s comeback performance, BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) will appear on one of the largest outdoor LED screens in Korea, thanks to a special fan project organized by his Chinese fan community.
A Giant Screen Dedicated to V
The project was organized by the fan site China V Bar, which planned the event to celebrate V’s return to the stage with BTS.
Their support will appear on LUUX, a giant LED display installed on the Dong-A Ilbo building in Gwanghwamun, one of Seoul’s busiest and most symbolic locations.
The screen itself is enormous. Covering about 3,000 square meters, the curved LED display dominates the area and is frequently seen in aerial shots of the city.
For a day, that landmark will be filled with V’s visuals.
Fans Will See V Across Central Seoul
Because of LUUX’s size and location, the video will be visible from multiple famous spots around Gwanghwamun.
People walking through Gwanghwamun Square, near the King Sejong statue, or along the Cheonggyecheon stream will all be able to see the display.
The special video will begin playing at 6 a.m. on March 21, just hours before BTS holds their comeback performance nearby.
The Project Is Only the Beginning
According to China V Bar, the LUUX screen event is just the first step in a larger global support campaign.
The fan community hinted that similar projects may appear in Busan, Goyang, and even Tokyo, following BTS’s upcoming activities.
BTS Is Preparing a Global Comeback Event
The fan project arrives just as BTS prepares to release their fifth full-length album “ARIRANG” on March 20.
One day later, the group will hold “BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG” at Gwanghwamun Square.
The special stage will run for about an hour and will be streamed through Netflix to more than 190 countries, allowing fans worldwide to watch the comeback in real time.
With a giant fan project lighting up Seoul and a global broadcast scheduled for the next day, BTS’s comeback week is already turning into a city-wide celebration.
