Throughout the world , there have been numerous cases of people accidentally digging up buried gold hoards. Recently, a man in Neuville-sur-Saône, France, also unexpectedly stumbled upon a "treasure" worth over 20 billion VND while digging for a swimming pool.
According to The Local France, the incident occurred in the town of Neuville-sur-Saône, in the Rhône region, near Lyon. The man discovered the gold in May 2025 while digging in his garden.
