According to The Times , PSG will only agree to let the French international leave if they receive £145 million, a figure that would set a new Premier League transfer record.
Liverpool have been monitoring Barcola since last summer. At that time, the winger's price was only around £70 million. However, "The Kop" decided not to pursue the deal in order to allow young talent Rio Ngumoha to develop. After a year, Barcola's value has skyrocketed, making negotiations much more complicated.
If Liverpool accept PSG's offer, they will break the Premier League transfer record. Currently, the most expensive transfer in the league's history is still held by the Anfield club, when they spent £125 million to sign Alexander Isak a year ago.
Not only Liverpool, but Arsenal and Chelsea are also closely monitoring Barcola's situation. However, the huge transfer fee demanded by PSG could cause these two clubs to withdraw.

Previously, the French club was reportedly willing to let Barcola find a new club as the player was not regularly included in the starting lineup in big matches. Coach Luis Enrique prioritized the attacking trio of Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, which limited the 22-year-old star's opportunities to play.
With their top target Yan Diomande set to join Real Madrid, PSG are reportedly turning their attention to Maghnes Akliouche of Monaco if they part ways with Barcelona.
Despite scoring only 6 goals and providing 6 assists in Ligue 1 last season, Barcola still has a contract with PSG until June 2028. At the 2026 World Cup, he is also a trusted player for the French national team under coach Didier Deschamps.
