In the Vietnamese market, the MINI Aceman is positioned between the Cooper and Countryman models, targeting customers looking for a stylish yet practical compact SUV that meets their daily commuting needs.
The arrival of Aceman also helps to diversify the MINI product range in Vietnam. Currently, the brand distributed by THACO AUTO includes the Cooper 3-door, Cooper 5-door, Convertible, Countryman, the high-performance John Cooper Works (JCW) versions, and the Aceman electric SUV.
In terms of size, the MINI Aceman measures 4,070 mm in length, making it suitable for urban environments while still maintaining space for five passengers. The car features a new design language with a distinctive closed octagonal grille typical of electric vehicles, modern-looking LED headlights, and more robust, angular body panels compared to traditional MINI models.
The interior is designed with a minimalist philosophy, focusing on the technological experience. A highlight is the circular OLED screen in the center of the dashboard, which handles all functions including displaying operating information, entertainment, and vehicle controls. The car also features a two-spoke steering wheel, the characteristic Toggle Bar, and a 300-liter luggage compartment, expandable to 1,005 liters when the rear seats are folded down in a 60:40 ratio.
The MINI Aceman uses an electric motor with 218 horsepower and a maximum torque of 330 Nm, allowing it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds before reaching a top speed of 170 km/h. The 49.2 kWh battery pack provides a maximum range of 406 km on a single charge according to WLTP standards.
The charging system supports both 11 kW AC and 95 kW DC fast charging. According to the manufacturer, charging from 10% to 80% takes only about 30 minutes when using a compatible fast charging station, meeting the needs of daily use as well as long trips.
In addition to its driving capabilities, the MINI Aceman is equipped with the Driving Assistant Plus package, multiple MINI Experience Modes, and the MINI Digital Key. Users can also manage battery status, monitor charging, or plan trips remotely via the MINI App.
Combining MINI's signature design, a purely electric powertrain, and a range of modern technologies, the Aceman emerges as a new option in the compact luxury electric SUV segment in Vietnam, competing with models targeting customers who appreciate distinctive style and a modern driving experience.
