On the afternoon of October 19th, Mr. Vu Tuan Anh, from the Weather Forecasting Department of the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, stated that Super Typhoon Champi could strengthen to level 17 in the coming days. The typhoon is unlikely to move into the East Sea but could cause strong winds in the northeastern part of the North East Sea.
