Belgium supports Vietnam's education mainly through scholarships from VLIR and ARES, enhancing academic ties between the two nations.
Approximately 450 Vietnamese students are currently studying in Belgium, including 15 PhD candidates under Project 89.
Vietnam has previously sent 84 students to Belgium via Project 911, while 12 Belgian students are enrolled in Vietnamese universities. Read more

According to data from the Department of International Cooperation - Ministry of Education and Training, currently, Belgian government support for Vietnam is mainly through scholarship programs managed by the VLIR ( Dutch -speaking Belgian Community) and ARES (French-speaking Belgian Community) organizations.

It is estimated that there are currently around 450 Vietnamese students studying in Belgium with various funding sources. Among them, there are 15 PhD students studying in Belgium under Project 89.

Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training sent 84 Vietnamese students to study in Belgium using funds from Project 911. Currently, 12 Belgian students are studying at Hanoi University of Education and the University of Education - Da Nang University.
