The Spanish national team recently held its first training session in Tennessee (USA) amidst a large crowd of cheering fans, as they prepare for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The highlight of the training session was the appearance of wingers Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams. Both are still training separately according to the coaching staff's plan as they have not fully recovered from the fitness issues they experienced at the end of the season.
Following their recent EURO victory, Spain is considered one of the top contenders for the 2026 World Cup title. Their modern ball-possession style of play and youthful squad have generated high expectations for Luis de la Fuente's team.
Before entering the group stage against Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia, and Uruguay, La Roja will have one more friendly match against Peru to finalize their squad and tactics.
