Launched in July 2024, the Defender OCTA is a high-performance variant of the British off-road SUV, positioned to compete head-to-head with the Mercedes-AMG G 63.
For the 2027 model year (MY27), the Defender OCTA adds a Woolstone Green paint option, alongside Borasco Grey, Charente Grey, Sargasso Blue, Petra Copper, Patagonia White Matte Wrap, and Narvik Black.
Included are 22-inch Style 7026 wheels with two surface finish options, alongside the 20-inch Style 1086 wheel design and specialized all-terrain tires with large treads.
The upgraded 2027 Defender OCTA version features a deeper, more distinctive exhaust sound, delivering a more authentic V8 sound thanks to modifications to the exhaust system.
The Defender OCTA is still equipped with a 4.4L twin-turbo V8 engine, however, the power is reduced to 540 horsepower and the maximum torque to 750 Nm. Therefore, these figures are 95 horsepower lower than the current version.
The vehicle is still equipped with many other exclusive features such as the 6D Dynamics suspension system, OCTA Mode, etc. This SUV is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and has a top speed limited to 250 km/h.
Both the Defender OCTA and OCTA Black feature a gloss black rear spoiler, while the "Chopped Carbon Fibre" carbon fiber exterior package is an option available for the first time on the OCTA Black.
The special suspension system gives this model a standard ground clearance of 250 mm, which can be increased to 323 mm with off-road capabilities. The vehicle has a maximum wading depth of 1,000 mm.
In the US, the 2027 Defender OCTA starts at $158,800 . Meanwhile, the 2026 version in the Vietnamese market is priced from VND 18.289 billion for the standard version, and VND 19.379 billion for the OCTA Black version.
