MG Vietnam has posted information revealing its upcoming new product line, stating that these are models belonging to a completely new generation. Although no detailed information has been released, based on the images of the three revealed models, many quickly recognized them as the MG4 Urban, the new generation ZS, and the upgraded MG5.
MG4 Urban all-electric hatchback
The MG4 Urban was recently launched in Southeast Asia in Thailand in mid-June. This is an all-electric hatchback that competes in the same segment as the Geely EX2 and BYD Dolphin. Vietnam is likely to be the second market in Southeast Asia to distribute this model.

The MG4 Urban has two engine options. The Standard version uses a 150 hp, 250 Nm electric motor. The Max and Ultra versions boast 160 hp and 250 Nm of torque. The Standard version has a maximum range of 435 km per charge according to NEDC standards, while the two higher versions achieve 530 km.
In Thailand, the MG4 Urban is equipped with the i-SMART PRO intelligent driving system, featuring functions such as automatic parking assistance, remote parking, and seat cooling activation via the key fob. The car also includes automatic lane change technology and lane keeping assist.
If it is soon available for sale in Vietnam, the MG4 Urban could become one of the notable contenders in the "New All-Electric Car of the Year" category at the Car Choice Awards, part of the Better Choice Awards 2026.
The new MG ZS adds a hybrid option.
The MG ZS image that appeared in the leaked information also matches a model that was spotted in Hanoi more than a week ago. The new generation ZS appeared outside an emissions testing center, suggesting that this model may be completing the procedures to prepare for its launch in Vietnam.

MG5 upgrade
The upgraded MG5 was introduced in China at the end of June last year. Compared to the version currently sold in Vietnam, the new model has a significantly different design, with larger front bumper air intakes and angular-styled headlights.
At the rear, the taillights are elongated, while the rear bumper adds faux air intakes and a body-colored diffuser. The previous asymmetrical design has been replaced with a symmetrical layout. The interior features two 10.3-inch screens on the dashboard along with a redesigned center console.
