The total solar eclipse is expected to be especially notable for its unusually long period of totality, which will reach 6 minutes and 23 seconds at its peak. It makes the longest total solar eclipse visible from land since 1991 and until 2114.

Oran, Algeria, will experience 5 minutes and 6 seconds of totality during the August 2, 2027 solar eclipse. Totality will begin at around 9:50 a.m. CET. The area may have more clouds.
9. Mecca, Saudi Arabia - 5 Minutes 10 Seconds
Mecca, Saudi Arabia, will experience 5 minutes and 10 seconds of totality during the August 2, 2027 solar eclipse. Totality will begin at around 1:23 p.m. AST. The area may be cloudier, but it should still be possible to see the eclipse.
8. Siwa Oasis, Egypt - 5 Minutes 32 Seconds
Siwa Oasis, Egypt, will experience 5 minutes and 32 seconds of totality during the August 2, 2027 solar eclipse. Totality will begin at around 12:42 p.m. EEST, although dust could affect visibility depending on wind conditions.
