The 23-night Vivid Sydney features a rich string of highlights. Some of the main attractions are as follows:

1. Opera Mundi

The Sydney Opera House will host renowned French multimedia artist Yann Nguema, who will showcase his illuminating projection mapped onto the iconic sails. Under Opera Mundi, the evening will be all about a unique fusion of science, music, and computer programming.

2. Vivid Light Walk

As one of the festival’s most captivating highlights, the Vivid Light Walk is an unbroken 6.5-kilometer trail featuring immersive art. Large-scale projections, interactive installations, and cutting-edge laser and digital art come together to transform Sydney’s streets, parks, and buildings into a wonderland. It stretches across Circular Quay and The Rocks, Barangaroo, and Darling Harbour.

3. Drone Show

After getting canceled last year, Vivid Sydney 2026 is set to bring back the Vivid Drone Show. Catch the ‘Star-Bound’ performance every evening, scheduled from May 24 to June 10 at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., except Sunday, June 7. A total of 1,000 drones are expected to glitter up the skies above the waters of Cockle Bay in Darling Harbour.

4. Vivid Minds

Vivid Minds is the perfect pick for anyone looking to engage with programs like talks and conversations. Featured speakers include Zane Lowe, Chloé Zhao, and Jerry Saltz. Vivid Music features a dynamic lineup of global and homegrown artists, ranging from intimate shows to lively performances. Some highlights include Purelink, Mallrat and Llyr, as well as Coterie and Velvet Bloom.

6. Vivid Fire Kitchen

Among Vivid Sydney's most cherished highlights, Vivid Fire Kitchen moves to a striking new home at Barangaroo Reserve. Free to attend and open every evening from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., it brings together more than 60 culinary talents and 17 vendors. Beyond the food, three stages host open-fire cooking demonstrations, talks, tastings, live music, and themed nights throughout the festival.
