MANILA, Philippines — P-pop powerhouse SB19 and Live Nation Philippines (LNPH) are celebrating a year of groundbreaking achievements, with their partnership paving the way for several historic milestones that continue to elevate Original Pilipino Music (OPM) worldwide.
In the span of just one year, the partnership between the award-winning quintet and the concert promoter has produced a series of unprecedented achievements, from record-breaking concerts in the Philippines to international festival appearances.
The momentum began when SB19 became the first Filipino act to sell out the Philippine Arena for two consecutive nights, drawing one of the largest crowds ever for a local artist. It continued with “Wakas at Simula: Homecoming” in April, which brought together fans from different parts of the world in the Philippines to celebrate the group’s journey.
The event became more than a homecoming — it was a global reunion that showcased the international reach of the group’s passionate fan base and reinforced the Philippines’ position as a destination for world-class live entertainment.
Another major milestone came with SB19’s historic debut at Lollapalooza Chicago 2026 on July 31. This made the P-pop act become the first Filipino group to perform at one of the world’s most prestigious music festivals.
The group also debuted a live performance of its latest single, LAWLESS, which was released on digital streaming platforms just hours before SB19’s highly anticipated festival appearance.
LAWLESS is described as a “new direction” for the quintet, “transitioning from a locally established act to a global supergroup brand,” as the group feels “no longer constrained by conventional industry expectations.” The song is “buoyed by maximalist production and cinematic soundscapes,” fusing hip-hop, contemporary pop, Western and surf rock influences.

Concertgoers were among the first to witness the live debut of the new song, along with a set list of fan favorites, including DAM, GENTO, Emoji, MAPA, Wakas, VISA, DUNGKA! and CRIMZONE.
As the Philippines’ newest tourism ambassadors, SB19’s historic feat marked another significant step in bringing Filipino talent to a global audience and underscored the growing international recognition of OPM.

According to LNPH managing director Rhiza Pascua, SB19’s journey has always been about “building sustainable global opportunities for Filipino artists.”
Following Lollapalooza, SB19 is expected to continue inspiring a new era for OPM through a shared commitment with LNPH, one in which Filipino artists are no longer merely participating in the global music scene but are helping shape and define it.
