The Tennessee Titans will enter Week 6 looking for their first win of the season.

First-year head coach Robert Saleh and the Titans were blown out by the previously winless Houston Texans 26-3 on Sunday, dropping Tennessee’s record to 0-5.

As a starter in the league, Ward, the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, has a 2-15 record.

Following Sunday’s loss, a reporter asked Ward if he was getting used to losing with Tennessee. Ward fired back, saying he isn’t a “loser” and that the team is going through adversity as they build what they hope will be a winning foundation.

“No, I’m not a loser,” Ward said, via a transcription from Pro Football Talk. “The record may say that we are that right now. But at the end of the day, you’ve got to go through some stuff to try to get wins. And, I mean, we attack this each and every day. But I mean, for that, no.

“If you’re able to look at everybody in our locker room’s track record, we’ve all won games at a high level. And we’re looking forward to doing that in the long run.”

Ward went 23 of 26 passing for 170 yards and one interception against the Texans. The Titans running game didn’t help out the offense, recording 57 yards on the ground via 18 carries. Tennessee gained 130 total yards on an average of 3.2 yards per play.

It’s hard to know how much of the problems on offense are the fault of the second-year quarterback. He’s thrown for 896 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions through five games this season. He hasn’t been great. However, the Titans have been bad all around this season.

The Titans will next travel to play the 2-3 Indianapolis Colts in Week 6. There’s no doubt Ward and the Titans will be expected to lose that game.
