Hearts have been melted by a golden retriever lining up alongside the bridesmaids for her owner’s wedding dress reveal, unlocking a whole new level of girlhood.
Like many dog owners, Alexa from Florida is obsessed with her golden retriever and would do anything for her four-legged bestie. Indeed, when she tied the knot in March 2026, Alexa knew she wanted Charlee to be part of the wedding, telling Newsweek that it “wouldn’t have been as special” without her.
“We had a church ceremony so she couldn’t be a part of that, but we made sure she was there with us the full morning helping the girls get ready, getting all the snacks from the boys, and walking around owning the place like the queen, pretending it was her day. She was there for our first look, our private vows, and for all our pictures before the ceremony,” Alexa, who doesn’t wish to disclose her full name, said.
Once she was ready, Alexa did a dress reveal with her bridal party ahead of walking down the aisle. All her bridesmaids lined up with their backs to Alexa, until she told them to turn around. Little did she know, Charlee was lined up too, even facing away from her owner so she could enjoy the grand reveal.
Charlee was so well behaved throughout, and it warmed Alexa’s heart to see how much the golden retriever embraced this special moment.
Alexa said: “I walked out and started crying, seeing her with all the girls. She was so still and patient, she knew what needed to be done in that moment. She was so excited to see me in my dress. You can see the shock and excitement in my face when I saw her lined up. These are all the most important women in my life, so it only made sense that my girl was in the lineup too.”
In the weeks since her big day, Alexa shared the pictures of Charlee enjoying the dress reveal on TikTok (@alexaandcharlee). Internet users can’t get enough of Charlee being “just one of the girls,” leading to more than 13 million views and 3.6 million likes on TikTok at the time of writing.
The pictures, which have since gone viral, show Charlee sitting between the bridesmaids as they all faced away from Alexa. The online reaction to the photos is beyond anything Alexa anticipated, all she told Newsweek that seeing the video go viral has been “such a fun ride.”
Alexa has always loved sharing clips of Charlee online, but the outpouring of support for this post has shown just how many other people love her too.
Alexa continued: “Anyone who knows Charlee knows she is the best dog in the world. She brings pure happiness to the people she loves, so having her there added a sense of calmness and ease to a special day. I have always strived to bring positive energy to the world, and this was one small, unintentional way to do it.”
Since the photos were shared on March 17, the post has amassed over 3,700 comments on TikTok so far.
