In a viral video, a puppy owner left their boxer out of the crate before leaving the house—where they found him after watching pet cam footage has left internet users in hysterics.
The hilarious TikTok clip, shared on Saturday by @beginningwithbutton, shows the puppy exploring the living room on his own, jumping on his bed, then on the couch, and then the table, where he eventually gets stuck, unable to get down without help.
“When you leave your 11-month-old puppy out of the play pen for the first time alone…” the caption says.
“He had to be rescued from the table. I moved everything he could get into out of the room so nothing got destroyed. He had no interest in playing with his toys on his doggy bed either.”
Early puppy training is crucial for developing good lifelong behavior. Today’s Veterinary Practice (TVP) explains that puppies learn quickly and benefit most from consistent training with positive reinforcement rather than punishment.
All family members should use the same cues. Supervision or safe confinement is recommended to prevent accidents and dangerous chewing.
TVP experts say that training sessions should be short because puppies have limited attention spans. Teaching them to be comfortable with handling helps with grooming and veterinary care.
Socializing puppies with people and other animals is important for confidence, but owners should balance exposure with disease risk and consult their veterinarian. Providing appropriate chew toys and redirecting unwanted chewing are advised.
Group puppy socialization and training classes offer structured learning, expert guidance, and controlled interaction with other puppies, helping prevent behavioral problems and build basic manners in a supportive setting.
The video quickly went viral on social media and has so far received over 12.7 million views and over 2.6 million likes on the platform.
One user, M4rtha59, said: “He’s just not sure where he belongs yet ok?”
