Emily Hampshire, Edvin Ryding, Robert Naylor, Sabrina Jalees and Priyanka have joined the cast of the second season of the Crave Original series “Heated Rivalry.”
The second season is scheduled to premiere on HBO Max in spring 2027 in the US, Australia, Europe, excluding the UK, Ireland, Spain and Turkey, Latin America and parts of Asia, including the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
Hampshire, known for “Schitt’s Creek” and Marvel’s “VisionQuest,” will play Vanessa. Ryding, who appeared in “Young Royals” and “28 Years Later,” will portray Luca Haas. Naylor, whose credits include “Mile End Kicks” and “Cardinal,” joins as Wyatt Hayes.
Jalees, who appeared in “I Used to Be Funny” and “Black Mirror,” will play Farah Jalali, while Priyanka, whose credits include “Drag Brunch Saved My Life” and “Meet Me Next Christmas,” will portray Tarek.
The previously announced season two cast includes Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Justice Smith and Charlie Gillespie.
Created by Jacob Tierney, “Heated Rivalry” is based on Rachel Reid’s “Game Changers” book series. The first season followed rival hockey players Shane Hollander (Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Storrie), whose relationship developed from a secret encounter between two rookie players into a years-long story of love, denial and self-discovery.
Season one of “Heated Rivalry” is currently available on HBO Max.
