INTEGRATED logistics provider 2GO has partnered with the Culion Foundation Inc. (CFI) to deliver 17,239 books to 19 public schools across the island municipality of Culion, Palawan.
The shipment of elementary and high school textbooks supports CFI’s local education program, which aims to boost literacy rates and expand access to foundational learning materials in remote coastal communities.
“At 2GO, we believe our role goes beyond providing transport and logistics solutions,” said Frederic DyBuncio, president and chief executive officer of 2GO. “By working with partners like the Culion Foundation, we leverage our nationwide reach to help address community needs and support education initiatives that create more opportunities for the next generation.
Ultimately, connecting the country means helping ensure that more Filipinos can participate in and benefit from its growth.”
For organizations distributing resources across geographically dispersed regions, reliable transport networks are essential to translating donations into direct community support. The initiative highlights how private sector core capabilities can be mobilized to assist underserved areas beyond major urban centers.
“Our partnership with 2GO has been instrumental in helping us bring donated books to public schools across Culion,” said Eugenio M. Caccam Jr., executive director of CFI. “Their logistics support demonstrates how the private sector can mobilize its core strengths to create collective community impact. Together, we are helping make learning resources more accessible and opening more opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive.”
2GO, a subsidiary of SM Investments Corp., operates point-to-point shipping and logistics services across the country. Its operations include multimodal transportation, warehousing, cargo forwarding, express courier delivery, and passenger sea travel.
