Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) officially launched the all-new e VITARA at the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), marking a significant milestone as the brand’s first fully production-ready global electric vehicle.
The launch signals a new chapter for Suzuki as it expands into electrified mobility while staying true to its reputation for practical, reliable, and efficient vehicles designed for everyday driving.
The First Global Suzuki EV
The launch was led by Norihide Takei, director and general manager for the automobile division of Suzuki Philippines, who highlighted the company’s commitment to innovation and future mobility.
“Today, we take a monumental leap forward into a bold new chapter,” said Takei. “The All-New e VITARA reflects Suzuki’s commitment to delivering advanced mobility solutions that inspire confidence, excitement, and practicality for today’s generation of drivers. As we move toward the future of electrification, we invite everyone to join us as this new era begins.”
The “Metal Beast” Design
The design of the e VITARA revolves around Suzuki’s “Metal Beast” concept. The exterior features strong character lines, a coupe-like silhouette, and an aerodynamic roof design.
A distinctive lighting signature comes from the new three-point matrix LED lamps up front, complemented by a modern rear design that gives the EV a confident stance.
Digital Cabin Experience
Inside, the e VITARA features a technology-focused cabin highlighted by a dual-display layout, a floating center console with a rotary shift knob, and a two-spoke polygonal steering wheel.
Premium touches include soft-touch materials, multicolor ambient lighting, and three-tone leatherette bucket seats. The driver’s seat offers 10-way power adjustment, while rear passengers benefit from a versatile 40:20:40 split-folding seat with sliding and reclining functions.
The infotainment system features a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Audio is handled by an Infinity sound system with six speakers and a subwoofer.
HEARTECT-e Platform and Electric Powertrain
The e VITARA is built on Suzuki’s new HEARTECT-e electric vehicle platform, engineered around structural rigidity, passenger space, and battery protection.
Power comes from an electric axle delivering 174 PS and 189 Nm of torque, paired with a 61 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. The battery system incorporates thermal management technologies including liquid cooling and battery voltage monitoring to help ensure reliable operation in various conditions.
Range and Efficiency
According to homologation data submitted to the Department of Energy, the e VITARA delivers a maximum driving range of up to 475 kilometers on a single charge.
In economy testing conducted with the Automobile Association Philippines, the vehicle achieved a fuel-equivalent rating of 87.22 km/Lge, translating to an energy consumption figure of 9.8 km/kWh.
Safety Features
The all-new e VITARA comes equipped with Suzuki Safety Support and includes seven airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, an electronic parking brake with brake hold function, and Dual Sensing Brake Sensor II.

Suzuki Philippines announced that the all-new e VITARA will be available nationwide with a starting price of PHP2,020,000. Final specifications and color options will be announced at a later date.
