07/07/2026 18:01:00

Thai League champions Buriram United have moved decisively to reinforce their squad for the 2026–27 campaign, unveiling a raft of new arrivals that blend domestic talent with international experience.

The Thunder Castle, as the club is known, announced six signings yesterday as they prepare to defend their title in Thai League 1.

Leading the intake is Anan Yodsangwal, the Thai international winger who joins from Lamphun Warriors.

A product of Tharnpanya School's academy, Anan turned professional at 19 and went on to make 163 appearances, scoring 35 goals. He played a pivotal role in Lamphun's rise through the divisions, helping secure promotion to the top-flight in 2023–24.

Buriram have also secured the services of Iklas Sanron, a 21-year-old forward from PT Prachuap.

Iklas began his career at Debsirin School before signing for Chamchuri United in Thai League 3. His move to Prachuap yielded 39 appearances, five goals and three assists, and he is expected to add attacking depth for Buriram.

The champions have looked abroad too, bringing in Brazilian defender Nathan Raphael Cardozo, formerly of Palmeiras, FC Zurich and América Mineiro.

He will be joined by compatriot Wanderson de Jesus Martins, known as Caju, a left wing-back from Serbian side Spartak Subotica.

Domestically, Buriram have added Thai defender Jakkrapan Praisuwan from Bangkok United, while Danish striker Kasper Junker arrives from Nagoya Grampus Eight in Japan.

Junker, 32, has previously played for Randers, AGF and AC Horsens in Denmark, as well as Urawa Red Diamonds in the J-League.

With this mix of seasoned internationals and emerging Thai talent, Buriram United have signalled their intent to remain dominant in the domestic game while strengthening their hand for continental competition.
